Publication opportunities for BMSc students
We are extremely proud of our BMSc students' success rate of publishing in peer-reviewed journals, podium and poster presentations at conferences.
As the only Department of Orthopaedics in the UK to offer an intercalated degree in orthopaedics, our degree in Applied Orthopaedic Technology provides stimulating, novel and diverse research topics covering the musculoskeletal system with great emphasis placed on biomechanics, motion and gait analysis, clinical audit, sport and rehabilitation. Our BMSc students will have the opportunity to interact and gain valuable experience from our postgraduate MCh (Orth) orthopaedic surgeons undertaking their research in either a clinical focussed topic or within the renowned Institute of Motion Analysis and Research (IMAR) facilities where they are exposed to cutting-edge motion analysis technologies and taught by an experienced teaching faculty at the TORT Centre. Students are expected to work closely with their supervisors to successfully publish the results of their research.
