Intercalated BMSc scientific paper award 2014-2015

This year the competition for an outright recipient of the Intercalated BMSc Scientific paper Award was too close to decide as the quality of papers were extremely high across the course, so the examining committee presented the award jointly to Conor Aldworth and Luke Dornan as recommended by the two editors.

Professor Rami Abboud presents this award annually to the student who has written the best scientific research paper submission for the year as per the relevant journal guidelines. This year both candidates were highly commended on their respective submissions and research work. Conor focussed on 'Lifting and lumbar Posture: Injury prevention in novice and experienced weightlifters' whilst Luke researched 'Does wearing a moonboot effect the biomechanical properties of gait?' Both papers are currently being finalised for submission for peer-review publication.
