BOFAS 2015 @ Guildford

Professor Rami Abboud (Head of Department of Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgery) will be attending the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society annual scientific meeting at Guildford on 11-13 November, 2015.

BOFAS is one of three most enjoyable conferences that I always try to attend as it is the closest to my area of clinical and research interest, the foot and ankle”, stated Professor Abboud. “The conference is normally held in the city of the President of BOFAS and this year I will be making the journey to Guilford to meet colleagues from around the UK and further afield. It is a great opportunity to discuss new projects and discuss collaboration as well as promote novel ideas that we have developed at the Institute of Motion Analysis & Tesearch with leading manufacturers. During the last academic year 2014/15, two of our MCh (Orth) students developed novel foot and ankle implants for which provisional GB patents have been granted which will allow me the opportunity to discuss with interested companies to further develop these products.”

Professor Abboud will also be attending in his capacity as the Editor-in-Chief of The Foot journal and will be available at The Foot stand on the Mezzanine level at G-Live to discuss any issues related to the journal, research collaboration or our TORT Foot & Ankle Evaluation Programme.
