Indian Association of Sports Medicine 2016
Professor Rami Abboud, Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching and Head of Postgraduate Division, School of Medicine, has been invited in his capacity as the Director of the Institute of Motion Analysis & Research to be an invited International Faculty guest speaker as well as to chair two sessions at this year’s 37th Annual Conference of Indian Association of Sports Medicine (IASMCON). IASMCON 2016 will be held at Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai, on 5-7th February 2016.
The biggest names in Sports Medicine have been invited affording the opportunity for Doctors, Physiotherapists, Sports Scientists, Students and Sportspersons to interact and share experiences and research with renowned experts from around the world of sport.
Professor Abboud will be speaking on Sports Biomechanics. Professor Abboud is a familiar visitor to India in his capacity as the Director of the Master of Orthopaedic Surgery (MCh Orth) course at the University of Dundee, as he travels at least once per year to meet up with Alumni and to trumpet the benefits of studying at Dundee and recruit students across the School of Medicine and the University.
“It is a great privilege to be invited and be able to attend. I am hoping to meet with many of our graduates in and around Chennai for an alumni dinner to discuss the latest developments and achievements on their courses and the university in general”, stated Professor Abboud.
