Staff member again designs Glastonbury Festival t-shirt

For the second time in three years Ian Christie, Postgraduate Skills Tutor within the Department, has won ‘Q’ Music magazine’s annual competition to design the Glastonbury Festival t-shirt this year. Ian came up with winning ‘mad cow’ cartoon design below, based on the fact the festival organiser, Michael Eavis, hosts the yearly event on his dairy farm. “I was lucky enough that the imagery of a rather spaced out, trippy cow appealed to his sense of humour”. Not only was the t-shirt available to buy at the festival but Ian won a £1000 prize and received VIP tickets to the event.
