Library & Learning Centre @ TORT Centre

TORT Centre students today received an extremely informative and entertaining talk from Mr Scott McGregor (pictured right), the University’s Liaison Librarian from the Library & Learning Centre (LLC).

This was the first year that students studying at TORT have benefitted from Mr McGregor’s knowledge as he explained what services the Library can offer, with the main focus of today’s talk being centred around publication search, the various databases and search criteria to use and how to reference such publications properly. After his talk Scott met with Professor Rami Abboud and was shown around the facilities and various labs at the Institute of Motion Analysis & Research (IMAR) at the TORT Centre.

Professor Abboud stated: “It is fantastic being able to pool and share expertise and knowledge from all over the Campus to enhance our students’ learning and research experience. Scott’s friendliness and enthusiasm are plain to see and this in turn gives students the confidence to explore and utilise the superb facilities LLC and their dedicated staff have to offer”.
