Series of lectures by renowned paediatric surgeons
It was a great pleasure to greet our colleagues and good friends from Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool, again this year as part of the TORT Centre’s external lecturing faculty. Mr John Dorgan, Mr Alf Bass, Mr Colin Bruce and Mr Neil Davidson are all experts in paediatric orthopaedics and gave a series of lectures over three days (19-21 October 2016) to orthopaedic surgeons studying the Master of Orthopaedic Surgery (MCh Orth) course.

All four have been champions of the MCh (Orth) over many years and really look forward to their annual visit to share their combined expertise, knowledge and humour with our candidates.

Professor Rami Abboud, MCh (Orth) Course Director and Head of the Department of Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgery, stated: “Having these guys visit each year is a great treat for our students and a pleasure for me personally. These learned gentlemen have been lecturing for over 10 years and their continued support of the course by giving their time freely for the three days each year is greatly appreciated. I know they have grown to love Dundee and its hospitality … the Speedwell Bar and the Agacan being particular favourites! All kidding aside, every year our MCh (Orth) candidates enthuse about this particular series of lectures given by John, Alf, Colin and Neil, or as we at TORT like to call them - The 4 Musketeers”.
