Indian actor helped by MCh (Orth) candidate

Whilst shooting in Scotland, Indian movie star Prithviraj Sukumaran actively sought out one of the Master of Orthopaedic Surgery (MCh Orth) candidates studying at the TORT Centre for some medical advice.

Dr Shahid Latheef (pictured in pink shirt), was contacted by the actor when he was filming in Scotland recently having developed an injury. Dr Latheef met with the actor and after discussing the problem advised the use of a splint which helped the film shoot to continue on schedule.

Dr Latheef stated: “It was a great experience meeting and helping such a huge star to avoid any delay with filming. He was advised to come to me by an MCh (Orth) graduate/alumni, Dr George Mathew back home in India, and I guess the fame of the MCh community was of help to such a famed actor on his time here in Scotland.”

Prithviraj Sukumaran is an award winning Indian film actor and producer and is best known for his work in Malayalam cinema over the past 15 years. He has also acted in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi movies. He has just completed filming on a movie entitled “Adam Joan” shot on location in Scotland. The movie is written and directed by Jinu Abraham.
