The Summer SCOT Meet was held in Dunblane, Scotland on 30th August 2019. This is a meeting of all Scottish Orthopaedic Consultants and Trainees which was very well attended.

Mr Jariwala spoke on various Upper Limb Service improvement initiatives that he has undertaken along with a keen and dedicated team during the last five years that have led to significant service improvements and reducing costs but more importantly improving patients’ outcome and experiences. These initiatives included reducing the use of Ultrasound by GPs for shoulder pain, revising the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome pathway and the Shoulder Pain pathway, all of which have been commended by the orthopaedic fraternity and the orthopaedic representatives of Scottish Government.
