UDOTS Foot and Ankle Trauma Symposium, 2020

A full day symposium on orthopaedic foot and ankle trauma will be run by the University Department of Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgery (UDOTS) on May 1st, 2020 and will be held at the Wolfson Lecture Theatre at Ninewells Hospital & Medical School, University of Dundee.

The symposium, organised by Mr Arpit Jariwala (Director-UDOTS) on behalf of UDOTS and by Mr Fraser Harrold, Consultant Foot and Ankle Surgeon, NHS Tayside, has invited a renowned teaching faculty of Foot and Ankle Consultant Surgeons from Scotland and UK to teach and interact for a full day on foot and ankle trauma.

The symposium will highlight tip and tricks in management of common foot and ankle trauma including complex ankle, pilon and talar fractures, Lisfranc injuries, current concepts in management of tendo Achilles injuries and foot compartment syndrome. We will also discuss the need for collection of outcome measures in foot and ankle surgery.

The symposium is open to orthopaedic surgeons, orthopaedic trainees, postgraduate and undergraduate medical students, physiotherapists, and allied healthcare workers.
