BMSc Student Abstract Success
Two UDOTS students studying Intercalated BMSc in Applied Orthopaedic Technology have had Abstracts accepted for this year’s MedAll International Virtual Conference 2020.
Ahmed Elsayed is presenting his research, Ergonomic heights of operating tables, in oral podium and poster presentations. His research was supervised by Dr Tim Drew and Dr Graham Arnold.
Emily Turnbull is presenting a poster titled Factors associated with perineal discomfort in female cyclists. Emily's research project was supervised by Dr Tim Drew, Professor Tracey Wilkinson and Dr Andrew J. Murphy.
The Conference, aimed at Junior Doctors and Medical Students, includes streams for oral and poster presentations in every speciality, keynotes from international speakers, and workshops on career development and clinical skills, with prizes being awarded for the best presentations.
Emily and Ahmed previously presented their research via virtual podium along with two other BMSc students at the 18th Staffordshire Conference on Clinical Biomechanics at the University Campus, Stoke on Trent, on 1-2 May 2020, and her work has also been accepted for podium presentation at the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences Student Conference 2020 (postponed due to Covid-19).
