School of Medicine ranked joint top in UK
It is with considerable pride that we can say that the University of Dundee Medical School has been ranked joint top in the UK along with Glasgow University in the Complete University Guide 2021 League Tables.
All of us at UDOTS are delighted to have played a small role in the School’s sustained success and will continue to develop our teaching curriculum and visiting teaching faculty, offering our students an unrivalled teaching and research experience in the fields of Orthopaedics, Biomechanics, Sports & Rehabilitation and Gait & Motion Analysis.
Professor Rory McCrimmon, Dean of the School of Medicine, stated:
“This outstanding achievement is a direct result of the combined efforts of all our academic and professional services staff, to the students themselves and to our colleagues across all of NHS Tayside. I would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment to the School and the sustained effort that has led to this achievement.
I believe the on-going medical curriculum review will further enhance and establish our reputation as being one of the very best places to study medicine. The curriculum review has been based on extensive data collection and has involved consultation with multiple stakeholders, including many students, staff, colleagues in the NHS and members of the local community. We will continue to work with these groups to develop our curriculum as one which meets the learning needs of our students whatever their future career paths, and the needs of the health services and communities in which they choose to work. Congratulations to you all.”
