Professor Abboud welcomed to Delhi on his way to IOACON2013 Agra by Dr Bhutani

Professor Abboud and Mr Nasir arrived today to New Delhi airport on their way to Agra to attend the IOACON2013 as invited international faculty and University of Dundee representatives respectively. They were welcomed at the airport by Dr Tanveer Singh Bhutani, MCh (Orth) Dundee 2012 graduand, and his wife, Dr Shivani Bhutani.

"It was extremely kind to find Dr and Mrs Bhutani welcoming us at New Delhi airport, having travelled over 5 hours on the train to meet and greet us to a working breakfast before we set off for Agra", said Professor Abboud. "I was touched to see them at the airport and it was a great opportunity to discuss Dr Tanveer's recent successes", added Professor Abboud.

It is just over 18 months since Dr Tanveer completed his Dundee MCh degree and in that short time he has managed to become a co-owner in two major hospitals with 100 orthopaedic beds each in Jalandhar. He has recently hit the national news as the first surgeon in India to introduce computer navigation arthroscopy of the knee. "The Dundee MCh Orth course has really helped shape my career, it has provided me further confidence, leadership and the necessary knowledge to aspire to achieve new targets and developments", said Dr Bhutani.

"Today was a great opportunity to present Dr Tanveer with the MCh (Orth) Alumni Certificate and I hope I will meet many more graduands in Agra for the same", commented Professor Abboud.
