Mr Sadiq Nasir is a Graduate in Computer Technology and a senior member of AMIE (Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers). Prior to joining the University of Dundee he worked at various commercial Industries in the field of IT. He has over 15 years’ experience in the design, development and management of various IT systems. However after joining the department of orthopaedic and trauma surgery in 2002 he has developed his interests in biomechanics and research and his role has changed dramatically over the last decade. He completed an MSc by research in Musculoskeletal and Biomechanics in 2007 developing software to analyse X-rays. Sadiq teaches and supervises research projects for both undergraduate and postgraduate students and as such is a vital member of the small team at TORT. He has recently developed an e-learning environment for distance learning courses for the department’s open learning courses.
