Mrs Linda Johnston
Clinical Audit Services Manager
Address
Tayside Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Technology (TORT) Centre
Linda Johnston has a nursing background and is a qualified Registered General Nurse, who specialised in orthopaedics. She began working for the University Department of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery in 1996 to instigate the Standardised Audit of Hip Fracture in Europe. She then became the Research Nurse Co-ordinator (North) for the largest to date UK Knee Arthroplasty Trial (KAT). During this time she completed a Bachelor of Nursing Degree, specialising in Audit, Research and Clinical Governance and obtained an MSC (by research) in 2010. She also works in collaboration with NHS Tayside on several projects involving Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology and Public Health. Linda is on the steering groups for Tayside Research Coordinator’s Forum and the Scottish Research Nurse and Coordinator’s Network.
